Overall Description
The train backbone, consist network, and TBN are the basic components of the TCN network.
A general TCMS model is as follows:

•The TCMS performs control operations and obtains status information through the interfaces provided by the Function Leader.
•The Function Leader is responsible for functional control. It triggers the Function Followers through commands and receives the status responses from the Function Followers.
•One or more Function Followers (with at most one in each consist network) are responsible for receiving the commands from the Function Leader and triggering the Function Devices. The Function Followers receive and summarize the responses from the Function Devices and feedback the functional status of the consist to the Function Leader.
•One or more Function Devices receive the commands from the Function Followers, execute the operations, and report the results to the Function Followers.
Train Door System (DCU: Door Control Unit)

•The TCMS uses the door system interface provided by the train DCU to control the door functions.
•The train DCU serves as the Function Leader and controls all the doors on the train.
•The Consist DCU acts as the Function Follower and is an agent for a Consist network.
•The DCU is a Function Device and is responsible for a physical door.
